vers 2.2.1 Resize Sense
Manual per-image, per-preset crop & straighten adjustment. Most other batch image resizers would at best allow you to align the crop rectangle to the left/right/top/bottom, but a better control is often required. The number of people who trip over power cords is almost definitely much larger than the number of people who need VGA output, or need four USB ports (given the easy availability of USB hubs). You may want to check out more software for Mac, such as Pulse Sensor, Photo Sense or Watermark Sense, which might be similar to Resize Sense. EasyBatchPhoto is a straightforward app designed to help you optimize your images. The interface is user-friendly and makes it quite easy to navigate through the available options. The ease of use, along with the capacity to process hundreds of images at once, are the main benefits of this app.
Guilty as charged. I used a Mac for about 9 months, and I never got used to it, I never stopped being frustrated by the things that were difficult, annoying, or just plain Fisher Price dumbed down by default. I'm a developer, I could (and for a lot things I did) figure stuff out, tinker with stuff, but I just wasn't that in love with the whole package, so I didn't put forth that much effort to make it my home. If I had been moving from Windows, maybe I wouldn't have had as much of a a problem making the transition, but I found that I had been so spoiled by Linux, and fallen in love with the whole idea behind it, that I just couldn't cope. Is that the fault of OSX? Surely not, it was a personal thing, but I really love Linux, and I think I'm going to stick with it.
This is due to a number of factors outside technology, but it's also true that universities here graduate people who never grew up with big screens and unwalled gardens, never grew up creating rather than consuming, and don't have a sense of what it's like to go from blank screen to working prototype to polished platform.
A comparison of different resizing options:
I am new to QB64 though not to QB admittedly away for many years. Came across it a while back and it has been on my list so decided to finally give it a go when I retrieved some of my old QB code. Been a user of PureBASIC, BBC BASIC SDL (long time BBC BASIC user) and experimented with FreeBASIC. Mainly use C and Python these days with some use of Processing for rapid testing and prototyping - something I am thinking QB64 could initially do to get me back into QB.
With larger and larger desktop screens (27" iMacs, 30" Cinema Displays), the old idea that you'd want the one window to fill the screen doesn't hold as often. Then came the rise of the laptop and it does hold again. So Lion gained fullscreen.
Like you, I don't remember the screenshot shortcuts. I know vi and emacs bindings backwards and forwards, but I don't much like remembering special-purpose bindings. So I just use "Grab", the screenshot app (comes standard with OS X).
>Since Apple and Microsoft categorically refuse to implement any of the many featureful existing filesystems, one is stuck with archaic NTFS (with no file permissions) or FAT (with less than 4gb files) to keep data.
